    Clutch options for built m30b35??

What clutch setup for a built m30b35? I've read stuff about using an m5 clutch or flywheel or both and using a b34 clutch parts. I'm confused with all of this. So I have a m30b35 with a completely built head and it needs a clutch. I want something that will be able to hold the extra power and maybe even a mild turbo setup.

What are my options? Full list of different setups please with what clutch, what flywheel, etc.

    Thanks.

E28 m5 clutch w/jb racing flywheel. Do it.

I have a SPEC stage 2 clutch. Bites kinda hard and is pretty heavy.. compared to any stock clutch at least.. Lets just say my left leg is now stronger than my right.

danny, Is there a certain flywheel from jb racing? Such as for an e28 m5? Or a e34 m30 flywheel?...
Sorry if these are stupid questions but im new to this setup.

Im thinking that jb racing flywheel is going to be a little out of my budget...
I can use a single mass e28 flywheel though correct?

Stock clutch will hold anything N/A.

If you use an e28 clutch, use the e28 flywheel. If you use the e34 clutch, use the e34 flywheel. It's easier that way. JB racing stuff is pricey, but I hear good things and intend to use their flywheel setup with my swap.

I just ordered an M5 clutch from Mr Bluntastic, you should drop him an email. I think the concensus is that will hold anything N/A or a mild turbo (around 300-320 ft-lbs of torque).

Flywheels are out there if you look for them, if you have Motronic 1.3 you can use an early 15 lb wheel from a E12/CS/pre 81 E24 (pn 11221270286). The later 16 lb E28 533/M5 wheel has the reference sensor pin for 1.1 (pn 11221271463). There's also the E34 M5 wheel, which is lighter yet at 12.6 lbs, but it is expensive new ($530, pn 11221312491) and probably damn hard to find used.

I like the JB racing aluminum wheel, but I'm a little leary of using an aluminum flywheel in a daily driver. The low weight doesn't bother me (have talked to a few people and they love it with an M30) but the heat and wear resistance of the aluminum portions of the 'wheel. Haven't decided yet...

You either have 2 sensors in the transmission bellhousing (earlier)or 1 CPS on the front of the engine (later). A 60-2 tooth front pulley as coincides with front CPS.

Hey so don't waste your money getting the m5 setup.

This guy is using a stock junkyard e28 m30 clutch.
I'm just saying for holding power but you might want something more like an off/on switch (pucked)

The guy that put up that vid is asking for clutch advice on mye28:
