    hartge m30 head

say if one were to have a hartge h5s head from an m30, would it be compatible with a normal m30b35(34 lol.) bottom end without any tinkering?
    just curious.

It will drop the compression, making the car slower. The B35 head is a great upgrade if you are going turbo on B34 block, not so much NA unless you get custom pistons along with it.

      ah i see.
so it would be better off with a normal head.
is there a difference in the normal bottom end vs one that would be factory with this hartge model?

I very well could be for a nice price, minus the Hartge valve cover, comes with a normal m30 valve cover.

look man i know i am always coming up with new plans all the time, always asking questions and what not, but i do these things in the designated sub-forums, and if not then on my project thread, and i have a DD so time is not an issue for my e30 to be running. i just want to make sure this car is worth my time, money, and effort. that is why i ask so many questions and i have considered so many options, ive already made mistakes in my build costing me money. i don't make a whole lot of money plus i have to pay for upkeep on my daily driver, so asking a whole lot of questions and considering a whole lot of options is the best thing for me to do. i came into the e30 world with no mechanical experience, i'm slowly learning and i'm sure every single gear head has been where i am right now. that is why i ask for information from the people who have been where i am, and are now very knowledgeable, do my stupid post's make a little more sense now?

^Easy dude, we've all been there. I've grown up working in a machine shop where all the older, more experienced people glare down at your youth and inexperience. It's tough love, that will make you more selfsuficiant in the end. From this, I've learned to not be afraid to ask questions about something you don't know or fully understand, even if that means a little harassment along the way. R3vlimited is the same way, so just keep on doing what your doing, but don't be afraid of the search button either.

Sorry about my grammar I'm using my phone and don't feel like being bothered with it.
