help* m50 to s52 swap

When I bought the car from some guy off of craigslist supposedly it had an m52. I am planning on swapping in an s52 and go OBD1
recently i realized that I have an m50. :curse:

The question is, can i still easily swap from an m50 to s52 easily? is there a difference between going from m50-m52 to s52?

Do i need things like new ecu, wiring harness etc.? or is it just a plain swap.

a simple yes or no will suffice but please feel free to expand

Swap all exterior bits on m50 over, you will have to resolve the coolant sensor issue. I suggest you go search the 24v swap thread for specifics...
