    e34 535i 260 shift linkage, quick question

    I'm picking up a getrag 260 out of a 92 535I today, I believe that would be a 260/6 right?
Anyways, I know its the tranny I want for my swap and the price is right so I'm buying it.
My question is, can I use my whole shift linkage assembly off my 260/5 that's currently in my e30?
I have a full uuc setup and love it to death and would hate to not be able to use it once I swap trans.
I'm ok for any chopping and welding, just wanted to see if anyone knew the deal with this situation.

    Thanks
    Robbie

i used a 92' 535i G260/6 in my swap. 300mm.de engine mounts in position 3. I DID NOT have to modify the shift assembly at all! I used the stock e30 rod style bearing carrier and either the e30 or e34 shift linkage with a B&M short shift lever.

I think between what you have and what you are getting that it will work...

cool thanks, i put the tranny next to my m20 260 and the e34 trans looks about 3/4" shorter, but i might be able to compensate with the adapter plate and motor positioning.
