92 BMW 318I Engine Swap !!

Hello i baught myself a fixer upper its a 92 bmw 318i 5 speed 4cyl engine. i was wondering if anyone with more knowledge in the automotive world could tell me what motor would work best for an engine swap. My motor is toast and id like somethign with more power probably a V6

Guy is probably new with BMW's. Different engine swap isn't really easy. You need to source out different compatible parts and requires modifications here and there. If you are pretty new into this and haven't tinkered with cars that much, just replace it with the same engine (m42) and call it a day.

M42's aren't really that slow. I have a 318 and its pretty perky is you ask me. reliable too :)
