What's fair

I found a m30b35 for $450. Now this motor is an 8 hour drive from where I live but I'm not having ANY luck near central Florida. Motor will come with ECU and harness, seller states there are no know issues and 136k on the clock. If its truly as described is this a fair price? Take into consideration 16 hour round trip and a stay at the cheapest motel I can find.

Ps. If anyone has a similar setup for sale please let me know

I'd say 16 hour + gas money would be too step of effort.
Have you tried auction or towing yards in your area?

I'm in yards constantly, I've done Craigslist for Florida and georgia. Forums, looked for donors or just motors with no real luck. Southeast seems to be no good for the M30 search.

Yes, price on the engine is good, but is it worth the drive? It's up to you.

which town is it in? Theres been a few in my area pop up on CL. I just bought one a few weeks ago actually, now I just need money for the rest of the swap. I paid 450 for mine, freshley resealed head, 3 different exhaust options(one being the 735 turbo manifold), ecu, 2 wiring harnesses, full intake, e34 oil pan and pump, and a couple other small things.

Im glad I got it when I did though. It is super clean!

School is keeping me crazy busy right now and will through the end of the month, but if you are seriously interested in that motor in acworth, I could probably make time to go look at it one weekend. possibly even work out a short term storage in my garage for small fee or trade some parts, if for whatever reason you cant make it up this way for a couple weeks or so. I have an extra engine stand.

That's would be badass. Guy seemed a little flaky through text. If you could go look at it for me and give an unbiased opinion that would be the tits! Also note the ecu and harness are in fact there and in good shape. I'm willing to make the trip if it's in good shape.

If its really a 135k motor with no problems I might be ready to get it by this weekend maybe next.
