M30 is Feeling A Little Sluggish Until 3k RPM.

    Hey everybody,

Lately my car has been acting up. The feels sluggish, somethings holding it back. I don't feel the same power I used to until I reach 3k rpm in any gear. It somewhat goes back to the regular feel but just not the whole thing.

Also, as I was driving the other day, the motor cut out and came right back on around 3k.

I want to know what could be at fault.

I replaced most vacuum lines, did an oil change with 20w-50, and I replaced the oil filter. Plugs were done less then 3,000 miles ago.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks
    Ashar

When was your last valve adjustment? The sudden cutting out screams electrical to me. Double check your grounds, etc.

Where are the grounds located? How do I check my TPS? I replaced my Coolant Temp Sensor, it made a little difference, but the car still isn't at its full potential.

Bump. I replaced the fuel filter and the in-tank fuel pump. The car doesn't cut out anymore. I still have the sluggish accel though.

make sure the CPS isn't rubbing on the pulley.

Check your coolant temp sensor (blue one).

                      inspect for air leaks.

Is it feeling sluggish when accelerating at partial throttle up to 3000 RPM or when giving full throttle up to 3000 RPM? Also is it making full smooth power at 5-6000 RPM?

Also have you tested fuel pressure at idle and while driving? I would connect a guage and tape it to the windshield and measure while under load.

Are you running a cat and if so what is its condition?

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you guys. I have been have problems with my clutch hydraulics, so I can't really drive the car.

I'll look into what has been posted once the car is drivable.

                              Thanks guys!!
