    M30 exhausts

Just curious as to which exhaust every one was using on their 335's and what you think of them ?

If you were thinking of changing it which exhaust would you use ?

I am using an E30 M3 Scorpion exhaust, i find it a bit to loud for me but i like a fairly quiet exhaust, it also makes a loud booming noise between 1.5-2k RPM if i open the throttle much.

As my car is a bit of a sleeper the exhaust kind of lets the side down.

I would like to change it to some thing just above stock exhaust noise level but with a nice tone, preferabley(sp?) an M3 exhaust so it is very easy to change.

I have been recommended to get a Supersprint M3 exhaust but i would like to see if there are any good alternatives that you 335ers are using ?

I used e28 dual downpipes, 2 high flow 1.75" cats and a stock 325i muffler and loved it, nice and quit around town, but once you got it above 3,000 it sounded perfect.

My exhaust is too loud to; I’m looking for the same as you. Currently I’m using e28 down pipes Y’ed to a single custom 2.5” ending at a Flow Master… Sounds pretty cool at idle but when I get on it everyone and their mom knows about it… including cops several blocks away.

The system came off my buddies first 335 before he turbo charged it. Personally I would never go with a Flow master but its what I had available. Any ideas on a quiet, free flow muffler?

Hmm, I can't say for sure yet, but I'm sure mine is gonna be REALLY loud. Probably try and find some e28 downpipes, or I have found some full length headers from a 533i in a junkyard so I might pick up those up. It will then go into a dual 2.5" in magnaflow cat and 3" out to a 3" in and out borla XR-1 race muffler. It will eventually be turboed so that's why the piping is so big already. Not a daily driver either, but it will be street legal still.

headers that opens into two 3 inch pipes that collects into a 3 inch highflow cat and ends in a 3 inch flowmaster muffler. Very loud and really is annoying on longer drives.
