Turbo M30 power?

How much HP can a high performance M30 turbo engine put down? I've been having impure thoughts about this.

Fantasies also include building a completely custom mid-engine chassis to put one in. It's just a crazy idea that I can't get out of my head, wondering about chassis configuration, materials, suspension, driving position, aesthetics, cost-effectiveness...

Good'n'Tight was putting down north of 500 whp/wtq with a HX40 on a B34 with not much done to it other than studs and a MLS gasket. His build thread is around here somewhere.

m30 can put down really high hp numbers even with stock internals aside from mls and arp studs, my buddy has e24 635csi, he has put down ~500whp on stock m30b35 (O-ringed & arp), stock 745i manifold, just a bigger turbo, injectors and GOOD tune ..

However, it is costly and you need to upgrade your suspension and brakes when putting this thing into an e30
