Thoughts on this swap?

My original plan was to do a M50/S50 swap in my 318i.
Time, skill, and parts availability (PR) are limiting factors. So I decided to go for a turn key project. I'm still looking

Anyway, I have a chance to purchase a 88 535is 5 speed w/ 70K miles w/ a bit of rust for about $1800.
How popular is that engine swap into a E30? I believe it's a M30, correct?
If it doesn't sound doable, than I'll continue w/ my turn key search in the US.

Any advice, feedback, will be greatly appreciated.

Turn key as in get a garage to do the swap for you ?

Could be expensive to get a garage to do it all for you ?

It's not a hard job, just time(labour) consuming.

My understanding is that the M/S50 is a much simpler swap.
It really is basically bolt-in...the only fabrication is the brake booster rod and the exhaust.
