M30 head swaps

I have a M30 from a '86 735i and I was wondering if I could bolt a head from a 535i or even from a newer M30 maybe from a '92 735i?

535i-same head
Newer 535i or 735i, direct bolt on, but you loose compression but gain larger valves and a higher duration cam. I'd bolt on an E28 535i or e23 735i head on but port it and install a performance cam.

[E30/M30]

I was told you can you can use the E34/2 bottom end with the older E28 head but i'd guess you might run into valve to piston clearance issues using the E28 bottom end with the E34/2 head due to the valve cut outs in the pistons being to small for the larger valves ?
