87 535i motor swap in 88 325is?

hi does anyone know if a 87 535i motor will fit in a 88 325is? is this difficult to do? and what things to look out for? any info be great. thanks

the south african alpina is the m30

Only problem with Jareds' site is that he used an m30 from a early 90's. I also used the engine from a 87 535i and ran into some differences. The engine will fit but you'll have to fabricate your motormounts and other various brackets etc..

you can get them from Alpina or from e30.de

Just get the Type I mounts

I suck at typing I am going to be working on my 3 M30m30 and i will be building my 335isturbo agean that would make 4 E30M30's.
But that is not all my bestfreind/brother in the same shop used an E34 with the m20 wireing harness that car is fast if you are not expecting it.
