I have an injector that is missing the plastic cap on top. It must have pulled off when I pulled the injectors out. Anyway is it a smart idea to replace only one injector? Should I just bite the bullet and get 6 new ones for $300? I am trying to do this on the cheap so any suggestions would be nice. Anyone have a used injector they want to sell for cheap?

just replace the caps and seals or get your injectors refurbished. I can't remember the place, but it should be about 75 bucks. Don't spend 300 for injectors. -
Pintle caps are very cheap, like about 50 pence, they just push on

That is helpful information. I didnt know you could just replace the cap. I didnt even know it was called a pintle cap. Do you know where you can get pintle caps? I talked to the dealer and they only sell the whole injector or so I was told. So next I looked at Checker and a also looked online at BMA. I cant find anything there either. Does anyone have extra pintle caps floating around? Anyone have any references where to get them?Comment

Theres a rolling road/Bosch agent in the next town to me that i got mine from.
Any where that does injector cleaning should do them as well i think ?Comment

Napa and other auto stores have the caps and the o-rings, just specify the part #Previous cars, bmw's 85 325e 93 318is

Do you happen to know the part number for the cap? I went into a Checker with the injector and they told me to go to the dealer. I called the Napa but they said they didnt have anything either. Where can I find part numbers for the cap? In the ETK I only see a part number for the injector itself.Comment
