It actually is a very easy swap, and it is going very well with the swap. I'll try to get some pictures up of my project soon.
after owning a 900cc, 145 hp, 400 lb ninja zx9r and getting used to that power, a 600 f4i just wouldnt cut it

    ill keep you guys updated

Well, an F4i isn't too far off from that. Stock its at 108hp, and around 365lbs. As far as numbers go- you can only go so fast, and I like how the f4i feels a little lighter on its feet. A pipe and possibly a chip in the spring will bring the hp up a little more.

Welcome to my nightmare, too, LOL I live in Massachusetts! So, I don't get to ride much at all with our weird winters. I really do like the f4i compared to a lot of whats out there......kinda like the e30 where you have just enough comfort to make it liveable.... I can only imagine a 900 or liter bike! I only wish I had a little more low end torque on my Honda, but otherwise I love it. I've got my other toy, 05 AquaTrax f12 looking at it with about 1 foot of snow on it...too depressing, when the hell is summertime gonna start lol. Good luck with your turbo, any idea if an e32 735i oil pan is the same late pan as needed to clear in the e30?

yeah the torque is what made the ninja so crazy to ride. You'd go full throttle at 4k rpm and it would go into warp speed, no need to wind it out. Its really a rush riding something as fast as a crotch rocket, the speed just multiplies it seems. I remember late one night last summer me and a buddy were coming home on the highway. He has a 600cc suzuki. We both hit it and he said I just took off (I just concentrate on whats in front of me when doing something like that). In just seconds I was doing over 150 and let off. The most fun we have is going to this highway in WI. Its a highway, yet most of the turns have signs saying 20 mph, so you can understand its really curvy and hilly. Theres a wide open stretch that goes by some farms on a big straight and I probably averaged about 160, kept letting off if there was a hill where I couldnt see much beyond (but knew it was still a straight). Anyway I wish we had more roads like that around here. A lot of the lakes have good roads around them, but the more popular ones have too many cars and police to drive all out. That or there dirt roads in the less populated areas. Im sure in the northeast you have some awesome roads that I can only imagine of.

Anyway that pan should work, like x2thez3 stated. good luck

If you guys with the NA swaps finish up please do a dyno and post it. I have a dyno but I just realized that we still did not install a O2 sensor so the car is not running optimal air fuel ratio. I am curious if any of us will make 250hp at the crank (aproximately 210 at the wheels) with just bolt ons.

With headers, MarkD chip+24# injectors, air flow, exhaust, lightweight flywheel, i'm sure you can easily top 250hp (crank).. those are pretty standard mods tho.. as far as I know....

I have intake, chip, stahl header, and custom three inch exhaust and 3 inch high flow cat. The car has no AC, Power steering, or anything else to drain power. The motor is out of a 91 735i so its pretty new.

Bottom line, 170whp and 250wtrq. This is of course without the O2 sensor and running on a loop mode with the Motronic. That is pretty far from 250hp though if you think about it. I am automatic though. That is why I am asking.
