Weird Battery Issue! NEED HELP!

Hey guys,

My cars charging system has been acting weird lately. Once you start the car, everything slowly dies out and once you rev the engine to around 3k RPM and everything is back to normal. What is going on? I replaced the alternator and the battery is next on the list.

What else can it be?

I don't know if i can be of any help but this is what happened to me. I got the car and the battery wasn't holding charge, well so i thought. I put it on the battery charger at 2 amps (trickle charge) I let that go for 12 hours. Then tested it, had good charge. My next conclusion was that something was drawing power, dad picked me up a ground cable. The last one was garbage. I connected it to the battery, stock placement, and then to a transmission bolt. I also cleaned up the positive female connection by soaking it in water and baking soda. The car now is holding charge, now all i need is to figure out the high idle. I hope that helped!

bad battery. or too small of one. colder weather will really start making your battery act up.
