    Really interesting.
    I've got a ford c4 trans for one of my other cars. But mine has a TCE 8" converter and a transbrake fitted. You'll enjoy it even on the street.
    If you dont mind me asking why did you mount the trans cooler in the fuel tank location?

            No room up front to mount the cooler.
            I've been driving it around and it's freakin awsome!!!! Spools the turbo way faster than the 5 speed. Holding the brake and pushing the gas pedal down nets 5 psi at a standstill.....!!!!!

                        lol, well had small setback. The torque converter cracked where it slides into the back of the crank. Pulled out the tranny and brought the TC to a shop to have it fixed.
                        So apparently the TC is a 10" GM in the front and a Toyota land cruiser in the back. It will deff need to be opened and gone through and upgraded to a billet back plate.
                        I will update when I have more info.

                                I never knew you could have so much fun in an auto.
                                If I ever build an e30 again I'm definitely gonna go the auto route. I'm not much of a circuit racer to miss having a manual.

                                    Ok, converter shop called yesterday and when they put it on the lathe, back end broke off. So getting a billet back cover that will allow more metal in that area.
                                    It was super thin, around .005 at best.

                                            Back side of converter was machined too much leaving the shoulder area for the crank pilot very thin.
