    Cam position sensor question

Has anyone come up with a solution for a cam position sensor other than having the dizzy gear machined? I'm going to make a winter project of replacing the management on my m30b35 turbo with MS3x, and I'd quite enjoy the control that having sequential fuel/spark would provide. kthx.

Why not just run a Hall effect crank sensor?

...because that isn't a cam position sensor. You wouldn't Be able to trigger sequential off the crank since you can't determine intake or exhaust tdc.

Lots of people have done this but if you're asking whether there is an off the shelf part then the answer is no as far as I know. Off the top of my head I know Paul Burke has made these and I'm sure plenty of others as well.
