I was curious about this too, and have been looking for one. From my research its just a m30 turbo charge, with a few improvements designed more for turbos.
I have one sitting on a stand, figuring out the management for it right know, it'll be going into my 323i in the winter. I know some things if you want to talk 'em out.
Also don't use the stock management, and you'll want to modify or replace the pressure relief solenoid.

Yea that would be awesome I haven't started the swap yet but I have the motor and a couple of the parts needed. All I can find online is people that have done it in Europe lol ..
