    Radiator hoses

I am going to be putting in new radiator hoses and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for hoses that fit well on the E30 for the M30. I am looking for hoses that have a curve that will nicely fit in the engine bay. The originals from the M30, I assume, would be pretty close but the radiator is now much closer to the engine so they would have to be cut. The angles should be right though. Otherwise what has everyone been using to get nice fitting hoses? If I buy bulk hose I have a feeling it wont fit as well as I want it to. Any Suggestions? My car has the engine pully right up against the radiator so its position II I suppose.

It depends on whether or not you want heat. If you want heat, you will need to either buy an upper radiator hose from a 735i 88-92 or you can of course cut it and make your own "tee" to route back to the heater core.

You could always just buy an upper radiator hose from like an '86 535i that goes straight from the thermostat housing to the upper radiator. In this case you will give up the heat on ur car.... I'm going WITH heat for my M30 conversion.

The lower radiator hose can be from the 535i '85 (e28 model). Fits fine without any problems and goes from the thermostat housing to the lower radiator.

There is another hose that's about an inch diameter that goes from the thermostat housing to the overflow tank. Check out Jared's website. He's done the conversion and highlights some of what you need. I can guarantee it. I dont think jared will have a problem with me doing this, so here you go.

I'm using pretty much what Frank said, E28 535 bottom hose and E32/4 7/535 top hose.

I also use a plastic T-peice from the E28 535 to connect my standard M20 header tank.

If i get around to redoing my cooling system then i will use the E32/4 header tank on the bulk head and E32/4 top hose.
