Depends on what type of driving experience you like. I personally like a fairly light (about 15 lbs) single mass. Mine is from a 533i but you can easily lighten a 535i e28 single mass ( I think these are 22lbs) as well or go with an M5 (about 15). Some may still like the heavy factory B35 dual mass for the smoothness.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. -Mark Twain -
Fun fact: 533 and M5 15lber are the same part #.
Only problem is the 533 is not guaranteed to have the 15lb flywheel....there is a cutoff production date.
15lb FW is the only way to go, with M5 clutch....om nom.1974.5 Jensen Healey : 2003 330i/5Comment

Since the B35 does not use the timing pickups on the flywheel you do not need to pay the premium that 533 flywheels go for since it's the only one B34 can use.
E3, E9, and M90 flywheels also are single mass, 15 ish pound options for the B35 engine.Comment

I have a minorly lightened b34 single mass in mine. I love it. I will get something lighter down the road though.Comment
