The oil pump I have looks better than that, BUT I just realized that its from an iX so the cover that bolts down over the gears you would have to swap anyways. It might just be better if you get a new(er) oil pump but I'm sure mine would be alright. A new thermostat is around $20, and a water pump is around $45 just FYI. New oil pump is around $180 I believe.

New oil pump is $130 from BMA, and maybe less than that at Black Forest (bfbmw.com). BMA will pricematch with BFBMW - just have to e-mail or call them for a price right now.

That's cheap enough for me to buy a new one - which I have sitting at home waiting to put in.

At the very least, you can buy a new thermostat and water pump, lol. ;)
