opinions please

i've stumbled upon a free m30b33 (i think) came from a x33i car... anyways the ultimate goal for my car would be an s50, but i'm thinking that i could throw this engine in my car in the meantime just to have some fun. what do you guys think? is it worth it? i'm leaning toward no but i'd like to hear some input from you guys because i love you all. thanks.

Are you referring to a US-spec S50? Isn't that like 240hp or somethin? An m30b33 (or whatever) can easily make numbers like that and more torque with a little work. Granted the design is older, and you may not be able to rev as high, but otherwise, all good. If you put this engine in, an S50 swap later on may not make so much sense anymore.
