Just a quick update.
We ran Watkins Glen over Memorial day. We thought we had our fueling issue fixed, but it showed back up with 15 minutes to go in the first race. None of our drivers running this car had ever run Watkins Glen in any manner, so we were behind the 8 ball for sure.
Results:
Friday (race 1, 6 hours): 8th: We were 6th with 15 minutes to go, when we started having fueling issues.
Saturday (race 2, 8 hours): 21st: had to pit every 45-60 mintues, which killed us.
Sunday (race 1, 6 hours): 8th: Yet another 8th. Good news though we think we solved our fuel deliver issue. We had no fueling issues all day. Car would only go about 1:40 mins on a tank of gas though. May have to go to a fuel cell. Had to add 16.2 gallons after one stint (fuel accumulator did it's job!)
Next race is the VIR 24 Hour. We continue to develop the car, and hopefully with no fueling issues we can really challenge at this track. This is our home track so we know the grand course VERY well.
