Valve guides (for engine builders)

OK, this would be really really helpful if anyone can answer this.

I was told there are 9 different valve guide sizes for an 86 eta head, I am only aware of 2. can anyone prove/disprove this? I am having issues with a shop, and this would be uber helpful to prove that they are lying to me.

From BMW I belive they only offer 2 sizes, stock, oversize, and double oversize. I'm sure from some aftermarket compainies they sell more variations.
