So I've decided to go for the M30 swap!
I have a 1988 325is and I'm just looking for a bit more power from the old girl.
I scored an M30B35 out of an 87 735il, which I got for $300 and a 9 hour round trip!
It's pretty rough to look at but the engine runs fine, automatic box only has reverse but I'm scrapping that anyway.
So finally last night after a few nights spent swearing and carefully removing that unwanted skin on my knuckles, I got the engine out!
Doing it without a leveller was a pain but it worked out fine with a bit of patience!
Next step is to rebuild the engine! I'll try keep this updated as I go.
