Specifically what are you having problems with? If you are using an E34 M30 then you should be able to plug it in and it will work... mostly. There are 3 pins that need to be adjusted. Pin #8 on the E30 needs to be moved to pin #3 and Pin #15 on the M30 needs to be grounded to the chassis. If you ask more specific questions then I can try to give you better answers. I would help you out if I was closer

I'm using the e28..i'm getting power to the injectors fuel is being supplied to the fuel rail. I'm trying to route the starter to a push button instead of using the key. The car is going to be used specifically for track only..I seem to have power at the alternator and the starter but when the button is pushed nothing happens....

Do you have power at the push button? You need to supply voltage to the solenoid lead on the starter. Its grounded on the engine block so you just need to supply voltage. Check to see that you have power at your switch, then with the switch closed check to see that you have power at the starter relay/solenoid. I guess you should also make sure your engine is grounded properly since the starter grounds through the block. Did you attach a grounding strap from the engine to the chassis?

My suggestion.. Just use the M20 engine harness instead... I was tired of fuckin around with the E32 harness (which happened to come from an automatic car)... just use the M20 harness and relocate the sensors which requires some cutting and stripping of wires... Then i can GUARANTEE that it will fire up on the first try...

On another note, roy, how u comin along with that cooling issue? I have had the car in the shop for the past 2 weeks with exhaust work being done.....Keep me updated bud...
