    M30 engine mount angle

Anyone know the angle of the engine mount on the E34 M30 is? They seem to be the same on both side but I was wondering if anyone knew what they were? The look like they are about 30 degress or so from horizontal. I am referrring to the bottom of the engine mount bracket. If you set the engine on the ground level the brackets have a upward angle on the bottom leg. What is the angle of elevation on these brackets? A pic is attached to clarify.

The level of the engine is the lower redline. The mount bracket has an angle that is slightly raised in comparison, the upper red line. What is the angle between the horizontal bottome line and upper line? Anyone, Bueller?

I couldn't tell you the exact angle (would guess 45 deg). Here is a pic with my motor test mounted with e30de mounts:

Hey thanks guys. I have my engine in and mounted with the sump level. I was just trying to figure out the angle of the mount bracket to the level the the bottom of the oil sump. I am trying to build a mount based off the stock mount but I need to know the angle that the stock mount should mount at.

Yea, the bottem of the oil pan should be level - best way to to mount up the manifold - it has some good surfaces to put a level on.

For some reason 38 degrees seems to be right. I remember reading it somewhere, but I can't remember where I read it at the moment.

That is what I did also I pulled a tape to scenter the engine in the bay side to side. I also after makeing them i had washers made the size of the rubber mounts so I could adjust the moter up and down
