I have an 87 325i that I m30 swapped last year that keeps eating giubo's.
It's an m30b34 bolted in with Q-Bang mounts and stock m20 bushings up front.
The transmission is a g265 supported with an m3 transmission brace and poly bushings.
The driveshaft was shortened/reman'd by driveshaftspecialist.
It has destroyed two oem giubos in a year. Both giubos were installed what I believe to be the correct orientation (with the arrows facing the flanges they are attached to). The CSB is still intact. I'd like to believe that the engine is just too powerful for a mortal giubo, but I don't think I can pin it on a stock m30b34.
Do I have an incorrect combo of parts on this swap? Does anybody have any experience with frequently failing giubos? Any thoughts?
