    JZ powered BMW

    I'm looking into getting a BMW to swap a Toyota JZ engine into. Preferably a Z3 coupe ( E36/8 ), or E30.

I have been doing some research trying to see if there's any info out there on fitting a 1JZ-GTE or 2JZ-GTE in a BMW Z3 coupe
    ( E36/8 ). I can not find anything definitive.

Has anyone done this before? Im looking for the blueprint or a complete swap guide.

If it hasn't been done to a Z3 coupe( E36/8 ) before, I am content on choosing another model in the BMW line up.

    My main questions are:
1- Which BMW's will take the swap with the least amount of custom fabrication?
2- Which BMW is it the easiest to perform this swap on?
3- Which of the BMW have motor/tranny mounts, and transmission adapter readily available for purchase?
4- Is it possible to use the manual tranny that comes with a JZ engine? I suppose this is most likely dependant on the BMW?
5- Which BMW models would allow me to use the JZ wiring harness & ECU so I don't have to go stand alone engine management?
6- Realistically, how much cost is involved with this, not counting the JZ engine and the donor car?

Sorry for all the questions. I just want to get a clear view of this so I can take the next steps and find myself a BMW and JZ engine.

I am starting a e30 2jz build. Using a cd0009 manual from a 350 z as its 2k rather than 8000 for a stock getrag v160 ( both six speeds, similar gearing). Both should fit a z3 id think? Motor mounts from freedengineering. They have done the swap and give a trans mount for the supra 5 speed. E30 fit only though, no idea on z3. And u have to solve the break booster clearance issue, either relocate or mod.

Harness is required for all and u can get custom for a grand. Im trying to make my own.

Probably looking at like 3 k in extra stuff to make it work. Though i am also doing body reinforcement for the extra power too.
