I successfully removed the oil pan on my car today. Thanks to all the posts and searches I have done on this site I appreciate all the advice.
I did NOT do the swap on the car so my question is for those that have
Engine is an M50
Transmission is a Getrag 260/5
When I dropped the transmission the flywheel was so close to the bolts that I had to remove the clutch/ pressure plane and flywheel in order to allow the bolts to turn,
I snapped a pic and it looks like the oil pan was notched/ shaved to clear the flywheel
here are some pics of what the pan looked like

my question is should i have the flywheel resurfaced and remove that "lip" to allow for clearance when i reinstall the oilpan (E34)
or is this not the correct flywheel altogether?
Any advice or experience with this situation would be helpful
Thanks!
