    Help FAST!!! (race tomorrow)!!

Ok so I have been having a ton of problems with the car. So I'm de-modding untill its good again.
Well I had everything going good untill a short trip today.
The car like hits a wall at 5k and jerks like crazy to about 5200rpms. In every gear. The check engine light only comes on when its hits that point.
All last week I took off the M30 afm went back to the m20, then I went back to 14lb injectors. Also changed the o2 (mustang part) and fuel filter.
After all of that it ran great really smooth and everything untill the out of the blue 5k brick wall feeling. So I thought "O great" because this stuff always happens the night before a race.
So I went and changed the ebay chip for the stock one after it learned it or whatever, it acted the same way. I did notice that the ECU was very hot when I took it out to swap the chips. How hot is normal?
I was also wondering if the mustang o2 sensor may have gotten wet at my splices? I know the ground got wet.
    Is my ECU gone?
Should I bump fuel pressure? ( it ran fine before though )
    HELP!!!

ok, got the injectors in and ran it. (swapped the 19s back in because I knew those worked)
I believe that the correct term is misfiring. It sounds like a harley davison when they idle, except mine is all the time and on a car!
          Suggestions?

OK I just got in from figuring it out!
It was combination spark and fuel
Spark- Napa told me gap was .038 Autozone said .028 and Autozone wins
Fuel- vapor lock after changing injectors

i know its already fixed but i had that problem, or at least the same missfireing. it ended up being my wire connector plug under the intake manifold. i just cut it out and hard wired it. what happend was the wires got all corroded and the signal the engine temp sensor got mixed up so the car thought that it was like 70 degrees colder than what it really was so it was dumping tons of gas into the motor.
