e34 m30 pin location

I'm curious what pin #'s correspond to which systems on the e34 535i and the e30 eta. I'm trying to make my new swap fire up. I am getting fuel to the rail, (Not sure on the injectors), and the motor is cranking but it won't start up.

Right now i am running an 87 325"i" harness into the m30 engine, this plugs into the 86 325 ("e") chassis plug in the engine bay, i am then using the e34 m30 ecu plugged into the 87 325I harness on the other end.

Does someone have pics of the 87 "I" harness with labels for the sensor and wire connections and what they hook up to?????
I'm thinking maybe one of the sensors is off.

i would get a m30 engine harness and that should fix your problem. i don't think you can use the m20 engine harness with the m30.

use m30 engine harness, m30 ecu, m20 dash harness and it should work

I have heard of people using the M20 harness... THOUGH, you are using an E34 ecu which is a newer version of motronic than the harness or the car ever used. My swap will be using a 533i ecu from an '84 and going into an '84 325e chassis. I bet this is your problem... You may need either an 88 or newer M20 harness or the M30 harness from an E34. I could be wrong, but that's what I would try. Does your car have the round harness plug?
