Cool thanks. What is the stock tranny called? Is it Getrag 260?

Sorry but what does acc power mean?

These are some questions for the experts. Ok...
    E32 or E30 Throttle Linkage
e30, it will attach to teh m30's throttle arm.

    E32 or E30 Shifter Linkage
e30 - but you might need the end connector(thing) from the e32 - see pic on my swap here .......------>

    E32 (88 735i) or E30 (89 325i) Wiring Harness
either - but the e30 will be easier if you just lengthen some of the sensor wires

Standard 5 speed or close ratio 5 speed
CR FTW - personal choice - a standard is just fine. 3.73 LSD is what I run, and it's a tad too high.

and what combination of driveshafts are KNOWN to work together.
ask ely, I always forget - but I think it the front of a e28 and the back of a '86 eta??? I forget! Think his screen name is rs4pro...also depends on what tranny you run. I have a getrag 265 w/ removable bellhousing. That tranny is about 3.4 inches longer than a tranny out of a automatic e24 (don't ask how I know that)

It seems to me that the 3 series wiring harness would be a more inteligent choice being that it goes inside the car where the computer goes, but I'm not sure if all the connections are the same. I believe they both have 4 wire O2 sensors?
Either will do, but it depends on what car you are starting with and what motor you are using - all I can tell you is what I did. Take a m20 harness - and extend the wires for the last two fuel injectors, and the temp sensors, and I think a relay or two(memory is foggy - but it's a snap - just cut and splice) - oh and I did use a m30 ecu - it fired up the fist try.

(oh and you need to give the ecu acc power - I tapped into the glove box light)

    HTH

    Thanks in advance :)[/QUOTE]

Yah, me too. I even beefed up my passenger side mount by having 1/4" steel where the mount mates to the urethane bushing. It's pretty butch.

The e30.de mounts, and the ones I made are strong enough to lift the car and/or tow a boat. They are over built so you never have to worry about them.

I think mine were also thicker than those, but not by much...

But remember, the stock M30 mounts are cast aluminum, and some areas of the cast mounts arent much thicker than those, so I am sure that 3/16" steel or whatever that is will probably be fine with a stock motor.

The metal on those looks uber-thin, especially the one on the right. Tha'ts alot of torque it has to withstand. I just remember mine from e30.de being much beefier than these.

Sorry boys, I snagged those mounts for my conversion :). I'm going to make a Jig for them and take some measurements so that I can reproduce them :)

I made mine, and they were really not that bad to make, but I am a fairly experianced welder

You should get em. I can't imagine the pain in the ass it would have been for me to hoist the motor into place, keep everything straight, and build the mounts...

On top of that I have the 535i parts car that I was going to use. Since I am bailing all my bmw stuff I am parting that out as well.. its an e34. I have everything for a swap.... although I just listed the ecu and maf on ebay, everything else in the engine bay is still there. If anyone needs anything for the swap let me know.
