    Extrude Hone group buy?

Trying to guage the interest in a group buy for 325i(s) manifolds. I am plannning on getting mine done before my head goes off the the shop (I am building a 2.7 stroker)
From the extrude hone website I see that they offer an discount of 15 to 20% for 4 or more customers.
I am thinking of getting this done after the holidays.

Bump for a good idea. Though expensive, they do make a fairly substantial difference.

What about an M30 intake manifold? Probably a little bit longer and fatter runners, but not by much.

More info such as a ballpark price range would be helpful.

I'd consider that also, just need to know what $$$ and who is going to do it for you in the ATL.

Extrude hone charges $610 for an m20b25 intake manifold, last time i checked. i guess take 15-20% off that?

no. the 3.5L manifold is much larger than the 2.5L manifold. Nothing would match up.

OMG...I'm pretty sure there are few other places that do it for considerably less. Last I checked a year or two ago it was only like 175.00 for a Integra exhaust manifold. $600+ is just silly for such a small gain don't you think?

                      1-) Integras are 4 cylinders
2-) We're taking about intake manifolds.

Does that mean you think it's worth $610.00?
How much power are you going to get from this??
I bet that's getting into the range of a custom made manifold.

I'm not trying to stop anyone from doing it. If you think it's worth it, do it. But do you know how much power you're getting out of just the honing?

I figure I can get more than 15hp because I'm on boost. So to me, it'd be worth it.

I think that might be possible but don't you think a custom manifold would be better for a FI car?
Extrude honing doesn't change runner lengths or really even the diameter of the runners much. Plus it takes off a fairly even amount of material all over the manifold not where you might need it more.

But if it's worth it to you, go for it.
Do they have any dyno's of E30's with the IM honed?

consider me in... i would like a final number before i commit. something like $400 would be ideal - less than that, i'm game, more than that, i'll have to think about it

btw, would each runner be bench flow tested and equalized? if so, it sounds pretty tempting!

Also, if this in in ATL, i can bring it personally since I'm often in the area. Hell, i could do two of them......
