'95 m3 rack with m30?

I've got a '95 m3 rack that I want to put on my car. Anyone else have the m30 swap with the e36 rack? I'm worried about interference with the oil pan. I'm about 1/4" to 5/16" away now.

Read Ritalinkid's writeup and you have to do the necessary linkage shortening and mounting point change. other than that, it's straightforward.

Did you use spacers to lower the rack off the subframe a bit?

Yes, I forgot what size, maybe like 1/2" spacer length to make up for the extra room. It was a very straightforward procedure (exept the link, the link was a bitch)
