    Sr20det in an E30?

I'm looking at all of my options. Has there been anyone who has put an Sr20det into their e30? I've heard that it's been done, but I couldn't find any information on how they did it. Does anyone here have an info?

I know this seems like blasphemy... But I'm just trying to think about everything.

the truth is that just about anything can go into the e30. Its all been done. Small block chevy V8s, BMW V12s, mazda rotary, rbwhatever, its all been done. There is atleast one person on this forum with an sr20det in his e30. Search. He is in New Zealand.

Bimmermushi from dent sport racing did one about 3 years ago and a guy from Washington State had a vert with a turbo one in it.

I'm glad to hear that it works. I've been thinking about doing something other than the standard M/S50 swap. I also like the sound of small light turbo power.

Big heavy german iron turbo power would be more manly. M30 Turbo FTW.

I am actually in the preocess of doing this conversion right now. I bought the engine and trans mounts + driveshaft from bimmerbushi (thanks again alex!)

Should be on the road this summer. Motor is finished and chilling on the living room floor Just waiting for the weather to break to resume work.

You are my hero. Keep me posted. ^_^ I want something stupid fast, this should work. In my search I've found a few links and places. I hear that it's popular in other countries. If you need any links, I might be able to send a few. Don't know if you already have that info though. I'm assuming that if you're doing it, you already have the info you need.
