    Engine stuttering/jerky

    I was driving to school yesterday, when half way there my CEL flashed randomly, and when it did, my car jerked badly, and dropped in revs for a split second, then was fine. But it did this all the way through the revs, constantly. Then at idle it would drop and do the same thing, but at a inconsistant pattern. I did the diagnostic trick and it came up as all clear, but it definately isnt all clear. Could this be an injector? Bad AFM? Bad fuel pump or filter? Id appreciate any feedback!

        ECU, fuses, fuel pump, AFM, really bad air leak?

        Is it still doing it?

          I just replaced the AFM and its still doing it, at this point im thinking a clogged injector or fuel pump... does any one know how to test either of these things? can i take my fuel injectors out by taking off the small bracket thats on the intake manifold or do i have to take the entire intake manifold off? I appreciate your guys' imput a lot!

            Talking from experience I'd say it's either a bad crank sensor. Those suckers kick on and off like crazy. Or an odd problem i have had before is the second tiny wire comming off the battery loses connection at the terminal. That wire powers the computer, ignition and fuel pump relay. I'd start with popping the hood and taking the nut off and connecting the small wire directy to the thicker wire. If that fixes it then you could either leave it that way or do it the right way and get a new battery terminal in the trunk

              disconnect ecu to clear memory and see how quickly problem reappears, also check the date on the white main relay [12631729004] 88' 89' were problematic.

                  Ok even AFTER i fixed the vacuem leak, it started to do it today again. Yesterday it did it a few times, but maybe 3 times in a 15 minute car ride, when before it was doing it every 5 seconds. Today i have a constan CEL (my engine oil light is on though, so i know i do need to change that, but that wouldnt cause the CEL right?) AND its jerking every couple minutes or so and at idle it stalled this morning while warming up. Should i keep looking for vacuem leaks? Maybe its a bad O2 censor? Im kind of getting frustrated.
