I have a turbo m20 with 225/45 r16 tires. They fit just about perfect in the front. In the rear I had to roll the fenders alittle. With alittle more massaging of both front and rear a 245 should fit.

Im gonna go with Falken RT-615s, 215/45/16 front and rear on 16x8 Rota Slipstreams. The RT-615 is built wide. For reference, the 215/45/16 has a full inch more tread width than my 225/50/16 Yokohama AVS ES100s.

1- 205/50-16 Federal 595s I believe. Horrible tire. I either don't have enough width, or the tire is not sticky enough. Most probably both. ABS kicks in way too early a lot of the time, and I can't seem to hold the line on sweepers very easily.

2- I'll be trying Contis in the same size next, or Falken 615s if I can find them, but I'm open to suggestions.

I plan on running 215/45/16 falkens all around on the street, and 225/50/15 on the track. If that's not enough (won't be once I boost it) I have to swing for some 17's to fit 255's out back, and correct the balance with sway bar and spring rates.

            I was thinking of 225-35-17

I am running 215/40-17 on my 17x8. The sidewall angles inside a little bit, but I like the handling and the "euro" look

Why? It's an uncommon as all hell tire size.

Not only uncommon, that is also undersized to spec. Either go 215/40/17 which goes on anything 7-8.5" wide, or 235/40/17 if its 8/8.5" width wheels to avoid stretching. Both fit, 215's without any modification and 235's with rolled fenders.
