m30 vs m20 oil pan height.

so after a m30 swap, is the oil pan in the m30 lower or higher then the m20?
and with what oilpan will you get what result?

I can't remember how low the M20 oil pan was but the M30 oil pan does seem vulnerabley(sp?) low with my lower than standard ride height, the plastic shit guard fits back on ok with the M30 so not that much lower i guess ?

I keep a spare oil pan just incase though, a metal skid plate would be a good idea too.

I believe the M30 oilpan is fractionally (read negligibly) higher than the M20 pan. Based on personal experience.
This is your M20 on steroids:

I would say about an inch higher than an m20 pan. The subframe is lower than the oil pan is.

Wow, you have your engine up high, does any engine parts rub the underside of your bonnet?

My m30 sits just alittle lower (1/2") than the steering rack.

^ I agree that's pretty high up there if it's higher
then the subframe. Do you have any pics?

Mine is about the same as stock.
