hey all! im joinin the family a couple Q's

hey guys, so i picked up my driveline today(89 e32, 260 5speed) and my motor mounts just came in from e30.de and out to get chrome plated tmorrow! yay

so id like to order my urethane bushings but..im alitle confused on which ones to get(motor mounts and tranny)e30 tranny's and m30 motors??

also my local salvage yard guys and i were looking at the e30 2.5 rad and the e28 rad and looks like there exactly the same dimensions..only difference is the two sensors on the m30 rad. is that all it is??

    your replies are greatly appreciated!

E28 tank in the fore ground - e30 tank in the back ground (it's upside down)...The e28 is larger and you have to remove the "shelves" at the bottem to get it to fit, but it bolts in at the top. In my case it was easier to use the e28 radiator then to find a hose that would work with the e30 rad.

You need to fab a mount for the bottem of the e28 radiator, or it will swing into the motor...

Here is a pic of the lower radiator brackets that get in the way of the e28 rad...

We ended up just removing them compleatly...

George, his "early" is different. He won't have the lower mounts yours does, just bottom and top mounts.

I am pretty sure you can just use the same urethane mounts that wold be used for an m20 so the ie mounts will work same with tranny mounts as far as I know. Most people I have talked to dislike having urethane tranny for a DD if thats what your car will be used for. They said that they are to harsh for regular streets. ie more vibrations and road noise.
