Mustang 302 swap

I keep running across threads from people who say that have seen a Mustang 302 in an E30, but I have yet to find one. I've looked till I'm blue in the face, but I haven't been able to find a site devoted to that subject.

The idea should be interesting for a number of reasons.

a) The size of a 302
b)_the placement of the distributor
3) the availability of the engine with manual trans
4) the availability of aftermarket partsl

My personal reason for interest is because I have a wrecked Mustang convertible with a good running engine and trans.

just throw it in the engine bay and turn it on. dont worry about wiring anything either. its not worth it.

I think that's there is a guy on bf.c that put a 302 in his e30. If you want to look over there.

Carb'd or Injected? Worried about the distributor rubbing on the hood by the radiator?

id want to do injected...hows the brake booster/MC???does it need a relocation, plus i cannot find the dude on bf.c.......ive looked everywhere on there.

well i dunno bout the distributor.....maybe just cut a hole in the hood:p or better yet get a cowl induction hood hahaha

I saw a 302 E30 on ebay last week, I think it even was posted in a link over here - I wouldn't have seen it otherwise I doubt.

Search around the Ebay thread - you might find it & find a name/contact who could tell you some stuff you want answers to.
