    parts needed for s50/s53 swap

I just recently recieved a '87 325e four door sedan. The car in general is in decent condition. The only problem is the car wont even start. So i decided that i wanted to either drop in an s50 or an s52. The only problem is i am only 15 years old, and don't know much about what i need. I have my dad to help me on the swap and to purchase what is needed. I was wondering if anyone can give me some site links or tell me what parts are needed in this swap. I will apreciate it.

I'm going to walk out on a limb here, and try to be helpful. An s50 in an e30 for your first car sounds like trouble. I would encourage you to buy the bentley manual, and work on your eta till you get her running. You and your father will learn how to work on the car, and all the little oddities in your bmw. A couple years from now when your mechanical and driving abilities show maturity, then think about the s50. When I was your age I averaged a "total loss" every year till I went to college. If you r3v your s50e30 chances are good that your insurance company won't care you spent 4k on an engine, and they'll give you the 900$ your eta is worth.

          I'm old.

basically what i was trying to say in the most coherent way possible^^^

dont get sucked into the whole i need to go fast scene as most of your friends likely are with their hondas and other imports. the e30 is not that kind of car TRUST me i know and even with an s52 its not that kind of car they can be fast fun great handling cars but only if driven/maintained properly. enjoy your eta LEARN to drive it before you dump thousands of dollars into it and end up wrapping it around a pole (god forbid). but PLEASE PLEASE dont waste your time money life on such an undertaking.

Hell ya eta is a perfect first car, I had mine from my 16th birthday til I was 18 until i swapped the engine. With a few little mods you can still fuck up civics.

You posted the exact same thread in the 24v subforum and got the same response. What did you think was going to happen differently this time? How many times do you have to be told to search/read before you'll actually do it? Fuck man, you dont even have to search. There's a 50pg thread STICKIED that outlines everything.

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

i know he is like every other person that comes here and asks the same questions, but chill. seems like you guys get you BP up cause he asked a decent, but way overused question.

Good luck, stick with the eta for some time, once you have mastered hitting your apexes, double clutching, and spin control (:nice:)then drop a S50/52 in it. And by that time, prices should go down a little bit as those cars are getting older and older
