M30 guys: What diff to use?

    Simple question...

What kind of diffs are you using on your E30's with M30??

My car has the 3.25lsd but I am thinking if the 3.73 would be more fun..

Once i turboed my M30 in my E30, i stepped it down to a 3.25 and STILL LOVE IT!!

But now i'm running much lower RPM's on the highway and getting about 25mpg

I'm thinking about buying the 3.73 and use it this summer but keep the 3.25 in case I go turbo

Don't turbo an M90, it will be destroyed! :(

Not to mention that we (r3v) have had two turbo 335s get wrecked... It's got to be a sign of some sort. (Not bashing you Frank, just putting it out there as a warning)

Well, i've since fixed it. Just finishing re-painting it. But it's about driving habits. I got a little gutsy at the wheel and learned my lesson, so there is most definitely not a curse haha.

Besides, mine was more or less a fender bender, Jason totalled his car and had half a million dollars in medical bills. Just be careful when driving a very powerful car, that's all. I still love my car, but now drive it with alot more caution.

So did you cut the rear quarter out and weld in a new panel? How hard was it? I have to do some rust repair and I was just wondering.

Yeah, i cut out most of the q-panel (up to about half of the wheelwell) all the way around to in between the taillights, I matched up the other one to it and tack welded it. It took about 50 times of testfitting the new panel... bc everytime i fit it, it needed somewhere else to be trimmed. Finally, once i had it where I wanted it, the trunk lined up VERY nicely and so did the taillights.

It's not perfect, but pretty fuckin good!

I'll start a thread outlining the whole process sometime next weekend.
