It pulls HARD, omg and wow went through my mind a few times :). Its a new world from the M20, especially from the eta.

I'd imagine they didnt put the m30 in the e30 because no one would buy an m3.

Here are a few match-ups I did (under controlled conditions):

400m (a.k.a. about a quarter mile) E30M30 vs.

2004 Civic Type-R (200hp)= win
2001 Audi TT 225hp= win
2001 BMW 328i= win
1988 BMW M3= wasn't even a race
1996 BMW 740i= win

and finally... Rolling 60mph in fifth for the M30, and full kickdown at 60mph for a 2002 Civic LX=win LOOL

On friday afternoon on the LIE in Long island, I easily kept up with an E46 2004 M3 (he says only work done was exhaust and custom wheels).

Oh I made this old timer so so so sad about his e46 M3 vert. He in NO WAY was going to race me. But with a m30b35 and a 373 LSD it is sad to start off in second gear and see the look on his million dollar wrinkeled face.

Poor guy, A CEO of something - and dropprd at least 50(?) dimes on a e46 vert...And there I was making a fool of him in front of his milf.

Oh - he was not happy..

At the next light he gave me the thumbs up, half ass in so many way.

I ended up seeing him a lot over the next six months. Same thing, but alone every time...no one in that passanger seat.

Case in point - an e30m30 will out run anything other then a turbo m20.

97 M3, lightweight flywheel, exhaust - he BARELY pulled. I mean barely.

whats the weight difference between this and the s50 m50?

ive got one in the garage collecting dust i was just curious as to if it was going to affect my balance and if so how much?
