    e34 part out party

how worth it do you guys think it is to buy a parts car that i can take the engine, tranny, driveshaft, ecu etc. from and part the rest out?

if i can get a whole car for 1500 do you think i can make that back stripping that thing down? i have checked on feebay and the market doesn't seem to be as big for e34's.

opinions please. has anyone done this to procure a motor, tranny etc?

are you asking if after you take ut the engine, trans., ecu, etc?

if so, yeah. if its got some good rimsthose'll go for 500 to 1000, depending on the rim type.

all the rest such as body panels (fenders, hood, doors, font and rear bumpers, front valence, etc) you might get some good profits, depending on condition. same goes for everything on the inside.

i think its worth it. if you sell every last bit of the car you'll get it back. and maybe more?

Don't forget that the cats are probably worth over a hundred, and the carcass will get you at least a hundred from the crusher. I've got a guy that wants to give me a hundred for my door panels, but I'm saving them to sell with the seats. The doors with windows should be one or two hundred a piece.

Aren't cats not-exactly-kosher to sell? They are in Texas.
