    745i M106/M102 (M30) turbo engine

I went to check out a euro 86 745i Turbo. Now the guy didn't know much about it except it needed a turbo. Wants 1000 for the whole car. I read these are based off M30 engine? If so, will it bolt up to a 3 series? If anyone wants any info on the car let me know. The guy also had an 84 I think 745i also a turbo. He just bought a 94 750iL so thats why hes selling the 745i's.

Oh yes it can be fitted:

It's 3.2l M30 engine with turbo. Only fitted to E23 745, it's really strong engine, oil-cooled pistons etc etc.

Worth buying, these ain't found in many places.

I meant swap engine. Would it be like any other M30 swap?

Basically yes, only problem is the turbomanifold which may need modifying.
And if you want to tune it more then you need bigger turbo, IC, better turbomanifold etc etc..

But it's same M30 as the others, only difference outside is the manifold, turbo and IC.

In 745 the manifold is located "underside" so i doubt a big turbo will fit there, of course those original little KKK's fit but..

Alpina B10 biturbo could be one option also, biturbo 335 would be cool :)
In those the turbos are also under the manifold, though :-/

Best option is to make it by yourself / get it made so you'll get exactly the manifold you need.
Here are some E30 M30 turbo manifolds for sale time to time (forum / säljes) but those guys are located in Sweden so it could be a problem to you... www.pure-pf.com But anyways lot of kick-ass turbo E30:s :-)

thanks man! i recently saw a couple of pictures i think on this site where a guy used a 745 mani but flipped it upside down so the turbo's up and closer to the front of the engine bay.....so it kinda intrigued me...especially with the tight space....thanks again tho:)

ill send you one if you want, no idea what shipping would be worth :D

The K27 isnt exactly a small turbo either, just in its current trim it just doesnt have the potential for big horsepower.
