M30 swap list is ALMOST!!! complete

like the title says, I'm about 90-95% done w collecting everything i need for my swap. Got my e28 535i radiator a couple weeks back, and my e34 M5 oil pan arrived w the sensor :D, but I have no oil pump :(. My headers haven't arrived either :curse::curse::curse:. I need to find an e32/34 oil pump anyone have any leads for a decent used one. Yes I've been all ovr the forums and haven't found one yet. I think for the driveshaft I'm going to use the 325e shaft (I have it laying around). Once the headers are here all I will "need" is the expensive e28 M5 clutch, pilot bearing, flywheel, new Alt (old one destroyed in wreck), oil pump, and I want another subframe so i can re enforce it and make many measurements before I drop mine out of the e30. I'm going to do all the maintaince aside from the oil before she goes in. For the oil Im just gonna throw some cheapy 20/50 drive it for a couple hundred miles then do a proper flush and fill w castrol gtx high mileage. I also have e34 aluminum motor mounts I read on jaredsquire.com these will work for the swap is that true? anyone tried them?

Cliffs...Parts list almost 100% in need of an e32/34 m30 oil pump. Will e34 motor mounts work for the swap?

to get parts for M30's a good place to look is www.mye28.com You should be able to get stuff pretty cheaply from them.
have you gotten engine mount arms yet? custom?
as far as the engine mounts, E30 poly ones seem to be the trend.

yea e28.com is where i found my oil pan actually, and the mounts that i am speaking of are the brackets from the block to the rubber mount. i have some from an e34 m5..i hope i can use those if not maybe as a template b/c they look like the new mount design from .de site

Not to discourage you, but I'm SURE that that has been tried before, otherwise it would be WELL documented to use the M5 mount arms in the E30.

          Good luck.

            yea...well i read it here..
http://www.jaredsquires.com/ndp/335i/m30/page4.html so I'm hoping he is right or I can use the e34 mounts b/c they do look an awful lot like the new type 4 mounts http://www.e30.de/335i/19.htm

Good! BTW, collecting the parts is only about 10% of the work, so you only have 90% to go! LOL...

Just joking you - keep us up to date!

yea i know, but putting it all together wont be as time consuming as sourcing parts. I had all but given up on the m30 swap b/c i didn't have the cash for a m30, but then i come across a wrecked e23 735i for $1.00 :p slowly but surely ive gathered most of the parts and pretty cheaply too. I'm going to get an extra front subframe (salvage yard baby) to beefup. Ill grab an extra transbrace also to put the M30 powertrain on, get measurements, etc etc. So by the time I'm actually ready to pull the m20 I can just drop the subframe out the bottom and do a Huge plug and play w the m30 :p.

I do expect a few problems just from reading everyone's threads. Fuel lines *gotta be careful and not switch em*, the dreaded wiring to the connector and fusebox, hooking up the electric fan *im no wiring guru i will have help tho*, i think the shifter plate will bolt right up on the getrag 265, Im using a 635csi harness b/c it has the sensors on it im hoping it'll clear the side of the tranny tunnel. the motor mounts will have been sorted out by then b/c it'll be bolted up to the new subframe
