I'll post pics of mine. You can't get it any further back without modifying the firewall. You will still have to modify the firewall with non b35 motors.

i think i may have found some mounts already copied from an alpina B6 *yes a real one* local here. Yesterday I was down at the garage my car goes to if i can't fix it, the owner has an 86 Alpina b6 on his lot.( he bought it in 87) Its dirty but still its so nice. Anyway we were chit chattin and he said he made 2 sets of mounts to mount the 3.5L in a different car. 1 was a stripped out e21 and the other was for an e30 :-D. He found the mounts for the e21 but he has to look around for e30 mounts. He said he made them back in the 80s and judging from the rust on the e21 mounts he wasnt kidding.

I'm gonna pursue this since its local and he already said i could borrow the mounts and have them copied. I can always go and check out the alpina's mounts. Next time im down there i'll get pics of the B6

I am deff in for a set, looking at the previous post (quoted below), I am looking for the e34 mounts.

"The E28 mounts will work for ALL E23/E24/E28 and earlier motors
The E32 mounts will work for all E32/E34 motors. E34 Mounts work on all b35 motors, and *may* work on b34 blocks also, I have not been able to confirm this yet.
You *have* to have a B35 head to avoid firewall modifications. You can put a b35 head on a b34 block, which is GREAT for turbo motors, since the b34 has slightly lower compression, and the B35 has monstrous valves."
