Driveshaft (Cross- Reference?.... maybe)

Can anyone verify that a e28 535i manual driveshaft is the same length as an e30 m3 or close and also has the bigger flange pattern like the e30 m3?

I was told by a local shop that they used one of these on a 318ti s52 swap and figure the 318ti has or has nearly the same length chassis.

Can anyone verify this anyone have the capabilities to put them together to see the lengths or take a measurement or something.

Any of the M30 driveshafts will have the larger flange pattern, but to get lengths you might ask over on mye28.com
