    Need Help Diagnosing...

So what you saw is what seems like the engine cuts out for like .2 seconds and comes back. Happenes usually under medium to full throttle from about 2.5k to 5k.

I've checked the ECU/Chip, Engine Ground, FPS, Spark Plugs/Wires, Distributor Rotor and Cap.

Anyone think it could be the fuel pump giving enough pressure since it's from an eta?

well, its not Vtec jajaja :D i kid, i kid...

it doenst seem fuel related either since it revs strongly after the surge. maybe a vacuum problem or loose electrical something. does it do it 100% of the time? i didnt see any lights flickering either, have you tried reving the engine slowly past that. what about if you downshift or even when you let it rev down, does it surge as well?!

    i'm unable to help you.
    No more e30s for me.

It does it probably 90% of the time under full load between 3-5k. But after that, it pulls hard. It does it more-so in 1st and 2nd than in the rest.

It rarely does it under light load (normal driving), and if it does, its about 2-3k when it happens.

It dosent have a problem revving down, or in neutral reeving up.

Maybe i just need a v-tech sticker on my hood...

I wonder if it is the AFM. I remember people having similar problems and it turned out that the AFM, as the arm moves across the board, the board had a blemish in it, causing the problem to occur. It would only do it under hard accel because that it when the most air is going in. I think that you could check it bu taking it apart. Let me see if I can find the thread on it for you.

Edit: Here is a helpful thread to look at.

Oo thanks mike. I'm going to try unplugging the O2 and clean out my AFM.
